I’m not a big fan of this packaging. It is kind of flimsy for the price. One good thing is that it comes with a good quality mirror and a decent applicator, which makes it very convenient to use. The product comes in a silver case. The top lid of the product comes with a see through glass in the middle with a silver lining which peels overtime and makes the product look ugly. Packaging could have been better. But it serves the purpose and I’m happy that it came with a mirror and an applicator.
The powder is finely milled and tightly packed in the pan. The product is very smooth and gives a very smooth finish to the skin.
My thoughts:
This pressed powder is from the True Match range. I had already reviewed their concealer, which I loved. You can read it here  –
I use the shade w7 cinnamon. The product comes in a variety of shades. I’m not sure if there are 33 shades available in this range in India as the brand claims. But there are quite a few for all skintones. Firstly, I do not like the packaging of this powder, they could have made it a little better for this pricing. But I like it, since they included a good quality mirror, why am I stressing so much on the quality of mirror?! Because it really has one, not like the usual ones that comes with most pressed powders. The mirror is nice and thick. And very very clear. It is fixed well so that it doesn’t come off easily. And there is no lining but just mirror. (which I like!) It also has a nice applicator which is also of good quality. The size of the applicator is just perfect to fit in your eye contour. It is very soft on the skin and not harsh.
The powder is of good quality too. It is finely milled and very smooth. On application it gives a nice finish and controls oil for a few hours, if you have very oily skin you will need re-touchup. The powder on its own can give you good coverage if you do not have too many scars or blemishes or you expect only light coverage. It can be built up for more coverage however I found that it makes face look cakey. You can also use this all over your face just to set the foundation or just in areas where you tend to get oily or shiny. If you have dry skin, you might have to moisturise well as it may cling on to dry patches. But it does a good job in controlling oil for a few hours. Overall, it is a nice product, it does what it’s supposed to do. It gives ample coverage and also controls oil for a good 4 to 5 hours. Do check this out if you are in the lookout for a pressed powder which gives good coverage and also keeps oil at bay for a few hours. I have hit the pan already, you can very well see it from the pictures. This lasts you really long, as little bit of powder gives decent coverage. This is a product worth trying if you get your hands on a good match for your skin tone.
